Babies in the Snow!

I couldn't let the girls miss getting to experience snow (again), so we headed out for a quick trip to the backyard. I am sure it took us longer to get ready than we actually spent outside, but it was worth it! Matilda was a little more leery of the whole idea, but warmed up as she got used to it.

Madelynn was smiles and giggles - of course!

Argh - Stuck Inside - Snow Day Take 3!

Part of me is enjoying the all the snow days, another part of me is itching to be able to do something! The girls have been exploring every nook and cranny of the house that's for sure! Towards the end of yesterday, I think they may have been going a little stir crazy too!

They sure were excited when Dad got home yesterday!

Today we had to think of more things to do inside - like the Jungle-Go-Cruiser

and taking our dollies for a stroll around the house.

It also led us to the word no - no pushing buttons!

Oh, so this morning Josh headed out the door after I said "Be Careful, Go Slow" a million things. Next thing, I heard a crash and a bang, followed by a few explictives. Turns our he fell down the stairs, spilling his coffee. Aparently he had been tuning me out...

Now onto studying for our Friday exam - It's gonna be a long rest of the week!

Snow Day - Take 2!

I didn't think it would be cold enough, so I was very surprised to wake up to this:

While I am much excited about the snow day - we have an exam Friday, they already packed classes 9-5 on Tuesday, and already had class scheduled until noon on Wednesday - all with information for this Friday's test. So...some of the classes will be having on-line lectures - hope the girls like pathology (at least it should give them a good nap...). Of course Josh had to go to work! It is definitely a pajama day at our house.

In any case, the girls have already been loving their snow day! Madelynn's been throwing the ball for Bayer

(I know what your thinking - probably not a good idea to teach a 10 month to throw, but we'll deal with that later...)

And proving that she's a baby genius!

Matilda has been practicing her walking - she can walk along side you now just holding onto 1 hand!

And keeping up with her grooming (that's a brush she's got) She really is our princess!

Together they try to pull their drawers out - boy do they love to pull out all their clothes!

And of course they love to play with their activity table in the kitchen while mom makes breakfast.

They have a little booty dance, which isn't well illustrated in the video, but you do see the All American Baby swap - notice when the girls bend down, then come back up they have different things in their hands/mouth!

Well, it's still coming down outside! I just hope we're all able to go to school tomorrow, or Friday will be a bit of challenge.

Tickle Me Baby!

There is nothing like a Babies laugh, and the upside to twins is that the laughter comes - times 2!!! It is so amazing when you see the girls make each other laugh!

When I picked the girls up from school today, their teacher was telling me how funny there were today! They have this circular type thing that basically is for babies to cruise along (standing up). Well, it has this mailbox, with only a door on one side (so you can see through it). She said one was one each side, and they would open it and look through it at each other and laugh. Then, they would peer around the edge and look at each other! The cuteness never ends!

For You Gramma

So, this post will be picture heavy since Gramma's been asking for more pictures! As I mentioned in the previous post, last weekend was a three day weekend, and since we were snowed in, we got to have a bunch of fun around the house! The girls are so animated and really into EVERYTHING! It is so neat just to watch them play and learn. The girls spent time:
Playing with each other:

Playing with the dogs:

And playing with toys:

They are a new generation, even I didn't have computers around all my life, but they seem to like them already:

Sometimes they find unconventional things to play with. What I thought was neat about the photo below, is how much it looks like she's looking in a mirror!

And of course, when you're inside that much - you spend a lot of time eating! Madelynn has definitely identified herself, as hmmm, how do we put this, the better eater. You cannot eat ANYTHING without Madelynn coming up to get some too!

And of course, she'll even hold her own bottle!

But the weekend wasn't over yet! We helped Mom with laundry and played in hampers!

We climbed on chairs!

And held walker races!

And finally, it was time for bed. But if definitely took time to wind down!

Snow Day!

Yesterday I woke up to find that not only daycare had been canceled, but so had my school! So the little ladies and I had a snow day! Sadly, Josh had to work 2/3 of the day. We got a lot sleet at first, but as the temperature dropped, we got a little dusting of snow!

The girls enjoyed their first outing in the snow. Since I had a test on Monday, I enjoyed not only the break from school, but the extra time with my princesses!

My First Pony Tail

We've been waiting to be able to put a pony tail in!!! And, although they're identical twins, they have different hair patterns. Matilda's grows longer on top and parts to the side. Madelynn's grows evenly all over and is kind of blunt in the front. Well, Matilda's length allowed us to put a little pony tail holder in today!
