So, the girls are right on track developing a robust immune system - holy cow! Let's see, we've been through a stomach bug, chronic colds (how long has she had this runny nose? I don't know, 6 weeks or so...), and now THE FLU all since school started mid August!!!!! I should have know when Tilly started fussing early this morning, she's our good sleeper! By this afternoon, her fever hit 102! All she wanted was to be snuggled and sleep, the exact opposite of our little wild child. So, off to the pediatrician we went. Thankfully, they got us in with a 4:45 apt, and we were back in the car by 5:05 with our prescription for tamiflu. They won't be testing her to see if she has "H1N1," but it's just another strain of the flu, and she definitely has flu like symptoms! So tamiflu, Tylenol, plenty of fluids and lots of love is in order for the princess.
As for Madelynn, she's got a cough and runny nose, but no fever, and she's still happy as a clam, so fingers crossed, she'll be okay. The wonderful pediatrician wrote us a prescription for Madelynn as well if she starts running a fever with malaise. He said he was on again tomorrow, but figured I wouldn't really want to make another trip. Thank you!
