FAQ's

Here are some of the common questions I have been receiving:

When are you due?
April 20th would be 40 weeks. I believe full term for twins is 38 weeks. This would make me about 14 weeks right now.

Do twins run in your family?
NO!!!! Not my mother's, father's, not Josh's - no where!!! Thus, the surprise.

How are you feeling?
Exhausted! It is getting better - but for a while it was hard to get out of bed in the mornings. I could nap in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, go to bed early and I have never been a nap person or a sleep in late person. I am still tired, but have a much harder time sleeping. I can get up early again, and don't fall asleep at any moment.
As for nausea, I didn't have any sickness right away, but it came on the more as I progressed. Certain things make me vomit, and school mornings also do (I guess too much movement?). I can smell is hypersensitive, so anything that other people would say doesn't smell good pushes me over the edge! Serious indigestion though, all the time.

Food Aversions?
Not really - I just can't eat a whole lot at one time. Not a big fan of meat right now, just too much. The one time for guilt free eating, and I just don't feel like eating much... Although, I have learned I go from full to starving very fast, and if I don't eat quickly I get migraines! Oh, and now processed food tastes more processed...

Food Cravings?
Not really cravings - but I love fruit now! And cold things - especially Popsicles Fruit smoothies - yum! I have been eating more soup too.

What about school?
The goal is to finish the year, I have a 2 1/2 month summer break and then I will continue with my 2nd year. I am due April 20th, with is just a few weeks shy of the last day of school - the last week being exams. The last couple weeks are also substantially less class time as well, so I should be able to do most from home and only be gone a few hours a day. My mom will fly out somewhere around that time to stay with me, help me and Josh be new parents and help me finish the school year!
Being twins, I probably won't make it to April 20th. Spring break is during my 37th week, so that would great if they let me pencil that in... If not, it means I will have to endure a few more weeks of school, but each week is less class than the week before and gross anatomy ends the second week of April (which is the only class I have to be physically present for). My mom will be here, Josh is family is close (his parents are retiring this January) so the goal is to make it work. WORST case scenario, I can take a leave of absence and join the next class right where I left off.
Can you take Gross Anatomy Pregnant?
Yes! With a organic respirator - its like the hood for a hazemat suites. It will purify the air. The evidence does not show the chemicals would cause harm - but better safe than sorry. And, another girl will be joining the style of the hazmat getup!

Are you showing yet?
I now have a little baby bump! I have been in maternity clothes for about a month - despite everyone telling me with their first they weren't in maternity clothes until 4-5 months. I have not put on any weight, so I don't feel bad about showing early - it's how I tell myself that both babies are still making it!
